We're supporting the National Eisteddfod to be held here in Flintshire (the county we're in) in a number of ways, here is the latest...

Welsh Beer, Cider & Perry Festival - 10th to 12th August 2007.

During our Eisteddfod Beer, Cider & Perry Festival we'll have a variety of beers from Dave Facer (including our own Blue Bell Bitter), brewed in Flintshire and several ciders and perrys for you to try including: two Seidr from CJ's in Monmouthshire, three from Seidr O Sir, one special Pider from WM Watkins and one from our own award winning cider maker Steve Hughes Rosie's Triple D Seidr.

The Eisteddfod which will take place here in Flintshire from August 4th to the 11th this year is perhaps the ultimate showcase for welsh culture and we are doing our bit to help spread the Welsh word hereabouts. We've been holding conversational welsh classes here at the Blue Bell Inn, Halkyn every Monday evening. While we have the summer recess we'll be continuing the welsh theme on Monday nights so you can continue to practice your welsh. In the late summer we'll be continuing the course so watch this space.
