He that buys land buys many stones, He that buys flesh buys many bones, He that buys eggs buys many shells, But he that buys good ale buys nothing else. - John Ray

Cwrw Glaslyn 4.2% PDF Print E-mail

ImageFrom Y Bragdy Mŵs Piws / The Purple Moose Brewery in Porthmadog, N. Wales.

Cwrw Glaslyn or Glaslyn Ale is the brewery's flagship ale and is a golden coloured fruity best bitter with a perfect balance of malt flavour with a floral hop aroma with a well balanced hoppy finish.

This is a really good award winning beer having been awarded Winner of the 'Best Bitters' category at the Champion Beer of Wales Competition 2006, Winner of the 'Best Bitters' category at the Champion Beer of Britain Competition 2007, Winner of the Silver award in the 'Best Bitters' category at the SIBA West Beer Competition 2007.

ImageImageY Bragdy Mŵs Piws / The Purple Moose Brewery is a micro-brewery, based in Porthmadog, North Wales. Brewing commenced on 14th June 2005 with a 10-Barrel plant.

The first brew was a one-off special pale ale at 3.5% called "No.1". This was closely followed by two standard production beers, Cwrw Madog / Madog's Ale (3.7%) and Cwrw Glaslyn / Glaslyn Ale (4.2%). There are already plans to add more ale to the range and we'll do our best to get it!
