Paul Reaney Thursday 30th Oct - Acoustic Music, Country, Folk, Roots & Blues PDF Print E-mail

We have acoustic music here on the last Thursday of the month amply hosted by the award winning Paul Reaney. Next one Thursday 30th October!

Paul’s acoustic and folk performances are proving very popular as they can leap from heart rending story songs to moments of complete daftness with aDownload Paul's latest poster here (2Mb) side order of cheeky Scouse wit. He would very much welcome your company to come and join him playing acoustic music. While there are no hard and fast rules here, the acoustic music at the Blue Bell Inn follows the style of Country, Bluegrass, Folk, Roots & Blues and of course floor singers are very welcome too. It's usually an informal session with occasional guests so bring your instruments, voices, or just your ears. Turn up and join in if you want to perform, songs, music, poetry, monologues, anything legal, Image safe & entertaining. All welcome, any abilities. Click on Read More to find out more about Paul.

All are welcome to enjoy the entertainment & our cask ales and real ciders. We hope you have fun & join in, even if you can only manage the choruses! Check out our Folk Links for more information.

Paul Reaney

Paul Reaney was born on the Wirral; his musical roots are in rock and roll and country rock, although his career has spanned everything from comedy show bands, through power trio blues to solo acoustic performances.

Paul has also worked as a session musician, his studio, live and radio credits include many famous names from the music industry.

During the late 80s Paul recorded and toured Europe as lead guitarist with the Ben Reece Band, then with the much respected Dansette Alligators. The last few years has seen Paul working with the North Wales rock and roll outfit Monkey House, as well as playing slide guitar and mandolin with the legendary Liverpool country rockers Hambone. He has also started out on the singer/songwriter route.

As well as acoustic and electric guitars, Paul also plays dobro, banjo and mandolin. He is a talented songwriter, and one of his songs won the Americana section of the 2007 West Coast (USA) Songwriters and the Dallas Songwriters song-writing competitions and was a finalist in two other contests.

Pauls first solo CD, A Town Like This was released in late 2007 and is mainly a collection of reflective acoustic songs with a couple of light hearted tunes thrown in for good measure.

Paul’s solo acoustic and folk performances are proving very popular as they can leap from heart rending story songs to moments of complete daftness with a side order of cheeky Scouse wit.
