ImageAs you may well know, radio and tv presenter Jamie Owen has spent the last few summers journeying the length and breadth of Wales. He's made television programmes for BBC & written books about his experiences. This year, Jamie is joined on his travels by Wales’ best-loved weatherman Derek Brockway - enough to guarantee that it will rain every time they venture outdoors! Jamie and Derek have recorded a series basing themselves in five different locations in Wales; Carmarthen, Llandudno, Mold, Newtown and Abergavenny.
Our programme went out on Thursday night Nov 22nd 2007 at 19:30 on BBC Two Wales and was repeated recently again on BBC Two Wales, some are still availble on BBCiPlayer.
We hope you like the pictures here, click the image and you'll get a larger version to look at.

BBC Radio Wales

Jamie and Derek were here at the Blue Bell Inn, Halkyn at the end of May 2007 to try cheese and home-made cider for their new BBC Wales series of Jamie & Derek's Big Weekend, This particular programme was focused on Mold and the surrounding area. Our BBC TV Cheese, Cider & Ale Night was of the usual format, we provided a couple of cheeses along with some crackers and everyone visited the cheese man in Mold market bringing the most unusual cheeses they could for everyone to try.

Fantastic night...

We had a fantastic night, many thanks to all those that attended and waited patiently for the takes and re-takes while we recorded the programme.
We enjoyed lots of cheese, cider and ale and great company. Jamie & Derek think the programme will be broadcast on BBC TV Wales in October/November time this year. We'll endeavour to get a DVD in case you miss it!
