Wiltshire Wheat Ale at 3.8% is from Archers Brewery in Swindon, Wilts. This beer is blond in colour with a well-balanced bitter and fruity after-taste.
Here's what they've got to say about themselves
Archers Brewery have been hand crafting and brewing traditional, award winning ales for over a quarter of a century.
Set in the Great Western Railway locomotive works former weighhouse at Swindon, the brewery underwent a massive two million pounds modernisation programme in 2001.
This included six new fermenters, a fully automated cask washer, a four head automatic racker with automatic fining dosing and a new state of the art laboratory headed by a qualified brewer, a graduate of the Heriot-Watt University where he specialised in Brewing Quality Assurance.
Whilst all the equipment was modernised, the brewing techniques and the dedication to quality, to this day, remain the same. The Brewery has gone from strength to strength with its ongoing commitment to giving cask ale lovers exactly what they want, CHOICE!
We constantly produce a wide variety of cask conditioned ales, including Milds, Porters and Stouts, with varying colours, strengths and flavours to satisfy the most discerning of pallates. Last year we produced over 190 different ales all to individual recipes, making us the UK leader in the variety of hops that we use and producers of the largest range of cask ales worldwide!
They are now under the new ownership of John Williams.
